One of three built, Pacem has only had two long term owners since new and shows beautifully today; for her first 25 years she lived behind the original owner's home in Newport Beach and was used as a day sailer. Designed by Ted Brewer as a long distance passage maker but never cruised, she'll serve her new owners well in whatever capacity they now choose to employ her. Some highlights: lovely teak interior shows practically as new, 6' 8 headroom, bottom painted and new Maxwell electric windlass installed in 2010, new sails and standing rigging in 2009, all new stainless steel portholes installed in 2009, both heads replaced in 2009, all new canvas and new batteries in 2008, new running rigging and polished stainless steel dorades in 2007, polished stainless steel davits with Avon hard-bottom dingy and 7hp outboard... Also, this boat has a very interesting layout: from the cockpit you'd normally expect the companionway to lead down to the salon but in this case it enters into a private owner's suite, complete with settee, Pullman berth and full head. This area can be shut off from the rest of the boat, in which case crew or guests access below via a separate cabintop companionway. This layout is common on much larger sailboats but unusual on a boat of this size (which is surprising, because it's so effective!). Price reduced, divorce forcing sale and offers encouraged...
