Both the boat and the business is available FOR SALE.
It is a turnkey boat.. The BAY QUEENS layout is wide open with bolted benches completely around the gunwhales. . Then extra seats or benches and tables are used to fill in the center as needed. The wide-open layout allows wheelchairs. There is a wheel chair ramp to access. You can seat 40 people for dinner with tables. You can actually squeeze the extra five at a table if they are children.
The boat has a USCG stability letter for 45 passengers and 2 crew. The boat was built around Harkers Island sand constructed out of white cedar and oak. Some of the planks are 30' long. The planks are laid length wise (Carolina Built) rather than from the keel out (Chesapeake Style).
She is glassed from the water line up only. The bottom is only coated. Reason was she was built to be in the salt/brackish water. With that construction the trapped fresh water will mix with the salt water and treat the wood rather than rot it.
The engine meter shows 3000 hrs. She starts with one click. No oil leaks. The engine is a GM 671. The engine is laying on her side rather than straight up. The pistons travel horizontal vs. vertical. This application was an upgrade to give an even deck with no engine box. Hence the wide-open layout.
There are no electronics except for a hailer and VHF. There is an invertor to power up the music system. There is a gravity flush toilet new this year (2012). The engine has fire suppression Co2 system. 60 adult vests and 15 children onboard, She is a great boat and this is not a hardship sale. She is paid for with no liens, and has a good pedigree. She was built around 1982 and commissioned in 1985 and ran as a tour boat in Ocean City MD. .
