Truly a magnificent sailing yacht, built with no compromise by the renowned Cooper Yachts Yard in Vancouver BC. Custom built for the original owner and outfitted with the finest in equipment. There are (13) windows in the house, (10) opening ports, (6) vents, and two deck hatches. The hanging lockers are all cedar lined, there are dimmer switches throughout the interior, and completely customized upholstery & headliner throughout. The interior was executed by a Yacht Interior Designer.
A tremendous amount of time, effort, experience, and love went into making this yacht able to sail worldwide in comfort, speed and safety. Long known for building quality yachts, this is one of Forbes Cooper's finest efforts.
No expense was spared in the fit and finish of this "Gentleman's Yacht", from the Italian leather upholstery in the Main Salon, to the marble counter tops, and marble- lined showers in both master and guest heads, and gleaming solid stainless-steel opening ports throughout. The fully enclosed center cockpit provides all the warmth, protection from the elements and safety as on a fine motor yacht, and the efficient, well-maintained Perkins Diesel Engine, combined with the top-of-the-line Max-Prop allows this vessel to motor, or motor sail, at speeds well within the 8.5 to 9.5 Knot range touted by many trawlers, but at a fraction of the fuel consumption.
Designed by well-known naval architect and yacht designer Stan Huntingford, this yacht represents the perfect combination of elegant lines, stout build, and a modern, and surprisingly fast underbody. The current owner reports having reached speeds of 10.5 to 11 knots with this yacht while under its generous blue and yellow asymmetrical spinnaker. The over-sized rigging and winches and other gear are meant to withstand the most demanding conditions and will provide added confidence regardless of where her next owner may choose to take her. Her amazing fuel capacity (475 Gal.) and water tankage (400 gal.) are virtually unheard of for a yacht of this size, and afford incredible freedom and independence for those intending extended cruising.
This yacht is a true head-turner wherever she goes, with timeless lines, and will appeal to a buyer with discerning taste in a yacht and who demands only the highest quality construction and finishes.
