The Amel is built to high standards and is certified "French Merchant Marine Category One" Amels are built in one piece, fully molded where all laminations are completed while still in the mold. There is no trouble prone hull to deck joint. Ballast is internal and the bottom epoxy clad at the builders yard.

An exceptionally strong, cruiser ready to go.The hull was just freshly painted Royal Blue in August 2010. the knowlegable owner sails regularly and maintains all systems. This is a fine blue water vessel ready for adventure.

Glen has extensive offshore experience, including a Trans-Atlantic crossing, deliveries on the East Coast of the US, and numerous passages to the Bahamas. He holds a 100 Ton Masters License, races locally and continues to live aboard the boat he sailed from South Africa. He has also worked for Towboat US.
