A semi-custom-build, to the exhaustive specifications of a New England saltwater fisherman and international sportsman, BlueBill is like no other Wilbur of her vintage available today. She is a one-owner masterpiece from the venerable Lee S. Wilbur & Co. and comes turnkey to her new owner. In 2013 she was given new Garmin GPS touchscreen displays, new Garmin radar, new Garmin autopilot, all-new canvas and in 2012, a new Vetus bowthruster.
Upon her build, she was appointed with some of the most beautiful, custom joinery and appointments, you would be hard-pressed to find finer work in any downeaster. From the forepeak trim-work to the 3-inch thick fir cabin sole and engine box covers to the custom fender holders and one-of-a-kind boathook, you'll be amazed at the craftsmanship. She is outfitted to sleep four. Fitted with customized lifting strakes, she offers a drier ride and greater stability than many downeasters.
An extensive refit in 2005 provided new Imron, air-conditioning with reverse-cycle heat, new bronze portlights, main salon windows, among other items.
