For over a half century Ocean Alexander has been producing some of the finest luxury motor yachts in the world. The Georgia Bear is no exception; this boat is beautifully designed both inside and out, with a fit and finish befitting of OA's reputation.
Stepping aboard from port one has immediate access to the pilothouse and bow, where a spacious sun pad and fully electric windlass are located. Two starboard side doors provides deck access to the engine room and pilothouse. The cockpit is accessible from the swim platform, master stateroom, and saloon via a covered aft deck, and houses two Murray fighting chairs, suitable for both relaxation and big game fishing.
The Pilothouse is finished with oil teak and in addition to the helm, electronics, and breaker panel, is fitted with a U-shaped seating with table by the port-side door, allowing passengers to accompany the captain while under way. Starboard is stairs leading to the flybridge.
The flybridge is enclosed with a reinforced plastic waist and acrylic windscreen. Forward seating is ample with two captains chairs and padded benches behind both port and starboard. Aft of the upper bridge lies a full wet bar and storage, as well as a large dining table running along a large padded bench along with four additions teak deck chairs, all with custom covers. Behind the table and bench lies a storage area for her 11' Zodiac Hurricane RHIB tender with 40 hp outboard and electrically operated launching crane.
Moving back to the main pilothouse, aft of which one is greeted with the main cabin containing kitchen style galley to port, marble dining table and bench to starboard, and main salon to aft. The galley includes marble counter tops and plenty of cupboards, finished with varnished teak, and with all the appliances a yachtsman would need, including full-sized refrigerator/freezer, trash compactor, coffee maker, toaster over, double sink, full dishwasher, microwave, convection oven and stove tops.
Aft of the galley is the main salon, which is extravagantly finished in a traditional teak style. To starboard lies steps the the master stateroom and engine room, hemmed in with bookshelves and counter tops. Continuing starboard is the housed television bookended by two plush movable lounge chairs. Another beautiful pair book shelve occupy the aft corner of the starboard side, opposite of which is a large L-shaped couch and table, finished in varnished teak with a fold down leaf. A large wooden shelve/cabinet unit occupies the forward-port corner of the salon, enclosing what is a most beautiful room.
Belowdecks provides many berths for housing multiple families. Access to the forward and mid-ship berths is provided through a port side stairwell in the main pilothouse. The forward crew area facilitates accommodations for 4 adults with a single berth to port, a single berth cabin to starboard, and a forward stateroom with it's own vanity and head with separate shower. A second head is provided in the foyer area for both single berth. Mid ship is a second stateroom with a single berth, double berth, television, vanity, and head with separate shower.
From the salon lies a starboard side stairwell to the master stateroom and engine room. The master stateroom is outfitted with a full queen size bed, television, vanity, and two full sized walk-in closets. The master bathroom is completely custom with marble walls and counter tops, with a full sized shower/bath. Moving forward of the master stateroom is the engine room, housing two 600HP Detroit Diesel 8V71TI's.
