A work of art! Performance sloop - cold-molded Red Cedar and West System epoxy built in Tacoma, WA by Andreasson Boat Works.
This boat is in outstanding condition, she combines the beauty of a wooden boat with the durability and low maintenance of a fiberglass hull. She's 5 layers of 1/8" red cedar planking and has a PHRF rating of 166 so you know she will perform quite well in all wind conditions.
Her Yanmar 3YM20 diesel is a recent re-power (2005) with just 470 hours. The feathering Max-Prop helps her motor at 6+ knots with ease.
But, make no mistake, this is a sailboat. Her fractional rig, fin keel/spade rudder, Navtec hydraulic backstay and boom vang, dual mainsheet adjustment, and an excellent sail inventory have led to many strong performances in the Puget Sound racing circuit. Multiple headsails/spinnakers, new standing rigging (2010), dual bulkhead compasses, ProFurl furling system, and all running rigging led back to the cockpit with dual self-tailing winches on the cabin top all contribute to top performance.
For cruising, Destiny offers cabin heat (Force 10 CNG bulkhead mount), full galley with CNG 2-burner stove w/broiler, SS sink w/fresh and salt pumps/faucets, Navico Tiller-Pilot TP5000 autopilot, holding tank with Y-valve, large quarter berth, beautiful interior, and comfortable forward V-berth with a very large hatch. There is plenty of storage and excellent lighting.
Everything here is clean, clean, clean, with regular servicing done and exceptional care by all owners. A Lowrance LMS337 GPS/Plotter is now aboard with Navionics chip, KVH wind/speed/depth instrumentation on cabin trunk with cockpit controls, ICOM VHF, and the Navico Tiller Pilot.
Destiny's beauty is maintained with a boom tent covering the cockpit, along with a full Sunbrella boat cover done by Churchill Brothers. Folding cockpit seat/cushions (2) are here, along with 2 anchors with their own chain/rode.
This one is a very unique, beautiful boat. New bottom paint and 3 blade Max Prop in July 2017!! Moorage is available with the purchase of this vessel!
