Accomodations on this Kaufman 47 Cutter includes 8 berths in three cabins plus saloon. Each of the three cabins has a double v-berth beautifully finished with its own setee, vanity, mirror, chest of drawers and hanging locker. Each is big enough for someone to stand up, dress or put on foul weather gear.
Forward port head with toilet and wash basin and seperate shower with hanging locker opposite. Second head amidships wash basin and shower.
The galley is designed to work: not only offshore in all conditions, but also at the dock with six or eight guests on board. Within this spacious area is everything every galley should have, from the twin sinks, fridge/freezer, cooker with oven, to the teak cabinetry and counter tops.
High aspect ratio masthead sloop rig with inboard chain plates for good sheeting angle and quick releasable inner forestry to facilitate use of self tending cutter head sail and stay sail. Keel stepped aluminum mast. Twin spreader rig with S/S rigging.
The standard rig of a 47 permits altercation of the sail plan from cutter to sloop in varying conditions. The removable inner forestay and the heavy weather back stay give her the advantages of both rigs, while keeping the convenience of head stay.
