Garrett Marine Custom Farr Design 40

Designed by Bruce Farr of Annapolis and built by Garrett Marine out of Florida this semi custom design comes from a winning heritage! Near–copies dominated the Southern Cross, SORC and the Southern circuit for many years! Vacuum-bagging and Kevlar laminates are part of her construction with particular attention was paid to keeping weight out of her ends.

"Desperado" was originally launched with a 7’6” keel. Only a year or so did her owner realize that a deep draft boat wasn’t appropriate for the west coast of Florida and Desperado was returned to the factory for a new 5’6” keel, of same displacement but with a longer cord and slightly thicker cross section.
