 'Amazon Queen' is a totally unique custom steel twin screw diesel motor yacht. Built in Holland to a HJV Van Duyn design in 1984 she was originally constructed to the Lloyds 100A1 exacting standards. Over the last 10 years she has undergone substantial refit schedules with well in excess of £400,000 spent by her previous owner (all invoices available) and a similar ongoing commitment by her current owners. 

The current owners have been her guardian for the last three years but have known her for some time before that. These owners are extremely experienced and have lavished 'Amazon Queen' with the care and attention she deserves. She is only for sale as their family have now well and truly 'flown the nest' and this fine yacht and their 72 foot trader are to be replaced with a slightly smaller single vessel.

Externally 'Amazon Queen' has an aire of quality and strength, all fittings are in keeping with her level of construction and she provides easy access to all areas of her spacious deck layout. Wide side decks lead to a wonderful foredeck and aft to a spacious boat deck and flybridge. Finished in Awlgrip with a 'Flag Blue' hull and 'Brilliant White' superstructure she looks magnificent on her moorings.       

Internally the previous and current owners have again  put a great deal of time and effort into keeping 'Amazon Queen's' original and traditional feel while upgrading where and when required. There is sleeping for up to 7 in 3 separate cabins. The owners cabin aft has a full king-size bed with more than ample storage in cupboards, lockers and wardrobes, the owners heads and shower area was refitted and upgraded in 2009. Fwd of the owners suite is aft access, via a water / fire door, to a truly seamanlike engine space.

Up the companionway leads to a large open wheelhouse and saloon with superb all round vision. This is a really traditional area with ample dining and living space, side door access to port and starboard side decks and companionway access to the rear boat deck and flybridge. A central companionway leads forward to the well equipped galley with everything you need to entertain and live on board in classic style. Forward again, past the shelved pantry ! is another comfortable guest double cabin with heads and shower opposite and further forward to a forward V cabin with three bunks.

And then there's the engineering and systems, 'Amazon Queen' is presented as a complete vessel with everything working. 2 x Rolls Royce C6M 265hp diesels give a comfortable cruise around 10 knots and a staggering range up to 3,500 nm. 24 Volt / 240 Volt systems, Onan 15 KVa generator, Eberspacher central heating with radiators, air conditioning, and simply too much to list here. In our opinion 'Amazon Queen' is a truly unique and stunning vessel, there is a genuine feel of warmth, comfort and security in this fine yacht, she is fully stabilised for comfortable cruising and subject to survey really is ready to go.
