This is a "Gazelle", one of the most popular and successful offshore cruising designs ever created, with over 700 built! Designed by the productive Tom Colvin, this boat features the most popular rig of the build - a Chinese lug schooner - and was the platform for the designer's own ocean voyages. Built by McConnell Marine, this steel schooner has a few improvements on the original concept: an underdeck pass-through to the aft cabin; a larger engine room which now accomodates a workbench and a fully-sized queen berth aft.
