ELECTRICAL The vessel is wired for 12-volt dc ships service and 120-volt AC shore power with a small inverter for the refrigerator. The DC power is provided by 2 12-volt 8D lead acid batteries that are housed in a PVC box with a cover. The batteries are charged by a 100 amp alternator and a 120-volt True Charge 20 amp battery charger that is tied into the shore power.

MECHANICAL The vessel is powered by 6-cylinder Ford Lehman diesel engine located in the aft cabin. The engine is boxed and the top of the box acts as a chart table. The engine is a model 2725E with a serial number of9/F/87A powering a Borg Warner 1.88:1 transmission. The engine is rated at 135 HP. The mounts on the engine were replaced in the spring of 2003 and a drip less shaft gland was installed in 2004 along with a new shaft.
MAST & RIGGING The vessel is schooner rigged. Her fore and main masts are of solid Douglass fir along with the main topmast. Her booms and gaffs are also solid. The rigging is wire with dead eyes and lanyards. The masts were pulled in the winter of 2000/2001 and inspected by the riggers at Mystic.The rigging was inspected by the USCG and all the standing rigging was replaced at that time and the running rigging was replaced in 2002. The booms are still the original, but both gaffs were replaced in 2004. The sails are of Oceanus sail cloth. The mainsail was replaced in the fall of 2002, the foresail in the summer of 2003 and the jib in December of 2003.
