Exceptional natural light and ventilation via 10 opening ports and two large hatches all with screens as well as 2 dorades. Artificial lighting is also thoughtfully done with swivel style reading lamps at the V-berth and ample overhead dome style lamps throughout the rest of the yacht.
Starting forward is the forward cabin featuring 6'-6" V-berth with filler. Above the berth the hull is lined with classic varnished teak ceilings and under deck full length shelves. Below the berth there is storage in drawers and drop face lockers and then bin type storage further forward. Aft of the starboard V is a bureau with drawers and a drop face locker with a locker outboard and above while opposite to port is a hanging locker. The stateroom can be closed off from the main salon with a teak door.
Continuing aft and to port is the enclosed Head featuring a manual W.C. plumbed via a Y valve to the holding tank. Vanity with stainless steel sink and H&C pressure water, and good storage above and below. An ensuite shower drains to a dedicated separate sump.
Next aft is the Main Salon fitted with an L-settee to port, which may be converted to a double berth, and a straight settee to starboard. There is storage behind the seatbacks in lockers and in lockers and shelves above and outboard. Dining is done from a varnished teak folding table that stows conveniently at the forward bulkhead when not in use. Forward of the stbd settee is a bureau and a hanging locker.
Aft and to port is the U-shaped Galley fitted with Formica counter surfaces and teak trim, a deep double basin stainless steel sink with H&C pressure water, large well insulated ice box and generous amounts of storage for cookware and food stuffs. Cooking is from a gimballed gas systems 3 burner CNG stove with oven.
Opposite to starboard is the teak and holly Navigation Station and quarter berth. The chart table has the typical flip top to access chart kit storage while below is a locker with shelves and outboard is a locker for storage or hand held electronics, books etc. Conveniently above the chart table is the radar screen and desk lighting. The quarter berth area, in addition to a sixth berth, provides ample storage for cruising with bin type storage under and storage above on a shelf. The yachts electrical distribution panels are adjacent to the Nav. Station in way of the companionway.
The interior of this Cape Dory 36 is in near perfect condition. All new Cushions in Ultrasuade light green fabric for the main cabin and v-berths, and Ultra Leather for the quarterberth, give the cabin a new, fresh look. Per the desire of many Cape Dory buyers and owners, the cabin woodwork has not been altered.

Since 2011, TALISMANhas been sailed in Maine, and has stored in the owners' yard where her maintenance continues to the highest degree.
