Here is a 1984 25 ft Blackfin Combi Cary Hull, cuddy cabin, with custom hard top; re powered 2005 with a single AD41D 200HP 6 cylinder Volvo Penta Diesel with dual prop out drive for sale in East Hamden CT. Hull is blue with nice teak trim on deck and a teak interior in the cuddy cabin.
Blackfins have a big following of active owners and owner’s forums, only to be expected with a tried and true traditional classic yacht. Here is a rare opportunity to acquire a recognized traditional genuine Cary hull diesel Combi.
This is the iconic Blackfin Combi 25, one of the most attractive and aggressive pocket sport fishing yachts to come out of the ‘70’s and ‘80’s . Blackfin Combis are highly regarded among owners for their rugged, traditional construction (Blackfin never introduced a cored hull in any of its models), and excellent styling. Beginning production in 1973 with a 24 ft center console, Blackfin has turned out a succession of popular tournament level fishing boats over the years.
All Blackfin models are built on deep vee hulls, a factor that has much to do with their popularity among experienced offshore anglers. Blackfins have always been priced at the upper end of the market and generally appeal to knowledgeable yachtsmen and anglers who appreciate a heavily built rough water boat.
Repowered and upgraded in 2005 with a freshwater cooled Volvo AD41D Diesel engine, this is the classic engine screw Combi cuddy on the famous Blackfin performance hull. This model has the single engine box all the way aft, opening up the pilot area for two captain’s seats, and an open mid cockpit. Below, in the cuddy, is a traditional marine head plumbed to a holding tank, and twin Vee berths
Modern Raymarine electronics including radar on this classic hull makes this Blackfin cuddy cabin a comfortable beach boat runabout, or, of course a serious fishing boat with plenty of get up and go. The teak trim on deck adds serious class to this wide open cockpit traditional single diesel Combi. The custom hardtop and sides give shelter when the weather is not so fair, and a nice clean look to the traditional Blackfin design.
Actively used, well maintained, this is your opportunity to get into the Blackfin boat with single diesel and I/O economy.
