This 1983 Sabre 34 CB, is located in Middletown, Rhode Island and is available for showing by appointment only.

The Sabre design team, headed by the company's founder Roger Hewson, was responsible for the Sabre 34.  Introduced in 1977 at a time when it was common to blend elements the of the IOR designs of the day, into racing / cruising boats.  This model of the 34 was in production until 1984.

Quality construction and attention to detail are just a few of the hallmarks of Sabre Yachts.  The 34 hull is constructed of hand laid fiberglass, the deck and hull are bolted together on an inward flange with the bulkheads and structural knees securely attached. The accommodation of the Sabre 34 is of the standard interior layout.  The galley lies to starboard and is U shaped, with a large ice box, dual stainless sinks and ample storage lockers and shelving.  Opposite the galley is a forward facing navigation table, with a pilot berth.  The main salon has settees to port and starboard with a folding dinette table that secures to the forward bulkhead, when not in use.  Storage and shelving are above each settee on the port and starboard sides. Forward and to starboard is the head and opposite the head a large hanging locker, and several drawers for gear.  The V berth is in the forward cabin with storage shelving to port and starboard.  This layout is traditional, utilizes available space well, is functional and is just plain tough to beat on a boat of this size.

The Sabre 34 performs well on all points of sail and under nearly all conditions, she has taken home her fair share of silver in club racing and is stout and comfortable enough to consider for offshore passage making.  The centerboard model allows for the cruising yachtsman to sneak in to shallow anchorages, yet with the board down the boat will perform very well to windward.
