Morgan Nelson/Marek 36R

Racing version (tall three spreader rig, deep fin keel, large cockpit, no v-berth) of the 1983 Nelson/Marek design built by Morgan Yachts, based off the successful IOR design "Rush" (which currently sails in Lake Michigan).

"Defiant" has only been sailed on Lake Superior and has enjoyed very successful racing campaigns in the Apostle Islands.  The boat rates 93 PHRF & consistently places at or near the top of the standings, both around the buoys & offshore.  Fiberglass construction, she is very well built and has been meticulously maintained to continue her winning ways.  The current owner is the 2nd owner and has owned her since 1986.
