This is a proven Blue Water cruising Endeavour that is like no other. She is a very well-maintained, midsized center cockpit cruising boat that has been fully upgraded in every system. The only parts of this Endeavour 40 that are original are the hull, deck, mast and engine. She unwent a seven year restoration prior to the owners leaving Hawaii to start their cruising life. Owned by a cabinetmaker and his wife, this yacht exemplifies a yacht brought up to their personal standards for live aboard as well as passage making. The interior is nicely done and is functional for cruising. Not only has all the tankage been replaced; there is a solid teak and holly sole built to make access to them a top priority. The original belly tank was thrown out in order to make a true bilge with three separate bilge pumps. The custom salon table with bi-fold drop leaf table is loaded with accessible drawers; including a drawer to keep the charts flat. The custom joiner work doesn't stop there. Forward of the salon and to port in a nicely concealed washer/dryer with a nifty laundry chute built-in behind it. The forward head across from the washer is large and cleanable; all the plumbing systems including the head, hoses, poly holding tank are new. The forward guest berth is large and nicely appointed with lots of storage and custom teak shelves. The owner's cabin aft is a fullsize berth athwartship with a custom hinged mattress to allow access to the 19,000 BTU air conditioner and sail locker on starboard, and to port there is more storage and also access to the autopilot and Lectrasan treatment system. There is an owner's head to port. The passageway on starboard has a work bench and tool storage area. Above the work bench is access to the Spectra membrane; below houses the 3.9 KW Phasor genset and the watermaker pump and filters. Opposite there is access to the 50 Hp Perkins engine as well as multiple controllers and the batteries. There is very good engine access from the side and forward in the standup engine room. Forward of the passageway is the navigation area featuring a customized desk with full instrumentation including control of the chart plotter/radar and autopilot. There is a built in computer which includes the Raymarine RNS 5 navigation program linked in SeaTalk. The galley is situated to port of the companionway and located centerline fore and aft. Every woman will love the attention to detail of this fully outfitted galley. An example is the custom built plexi drop-in containers that stack vertically in the refrigerator for food stoage. Even the stove top cutting board has a secure home. The refrigerator and separate freezer are large and well insulated. There are deep double SS sinks athwartship and a four burner Broadwater stove with the largest capacity oven on the market. All the amenities of home are here in this galley including the built-in microwave. The original parquet and plywood sole was replaced by a solid teak and holly sole and the service areas around the engine, passageway and galley are finished in blue tile for ease of upkeep.
Above decks she has had all systems upgraded beyond the original specs. The hatches are new Mainship stainless steel. The portlights are SS and laminated glass. There is a 1200 lb Maxwell windlass services dual anchoring systems. The 120% genoa and staysail on Furlex furlers; along with the Seldon mainsail furler simplify sailing and keep the crew rested. The rigging was replaced and oversized in 2005 and new Doyle sails added. The mainsail is brand new. The control lines are led aft to the cockpit where #52 ST Anderson primaries and #40ST secondaries sit on the coamings. The coachtop #40ST winches control six lines led through Spinlock sheet stoppers. There are two winches on the mast for halyards. The mainsheet and traveler are aft the cockpit and close at hand to the helm. The powerful Raymarine 6000+ autopilot makes sailing a dream. The well done dodger and bimini protect you from the elements and sun. All the original hatches and 18 portlights have been replaced with top of the line stainles steel units. The radar arch carries the Airex wind generator and four 110 watt solar panels that have a nifty tilt mechanism on pressure cylinders. Everything including the Zodiac RIB w/ 9.9 HP Honda have been thought out to maximize the cruising experience. The deck bulwarks and HD stanchions bring the lifelines up to 30 inches for safety at sea. This yacht has been prepared as a Blue Water cruiser and has transited the Pacific from Hawaii to San Francisco in 17 days. She has cruised the West coast and throughout Mexico. You need to see this yacht to appreciate the love and care she is under. There are just so many custom improvements made to this Endeavour that it should not be compared to other Endeavours.
