Etesian was commissioned by an Ameican to J.G. Alden Naval Architects. Based on Alpha, designed in 1929, Etesian was built in Santa Cruz, California in 1983, by C&B Shipyard. In 2001, after a trip around the world, Etesian arrived in Barcelona and was bought by a German gentleman who partially refitted her.
Her main refit tookplace in 2003 and she is reportedly in excellent condition.
