CORNADO is a custom designed motor yacht based on the extremely successful 17m semi-displacement German Customs Boat hulls. This type of vessel is also used in the Baltic Sea by the German Police.

Vertens has built about 10 yachts on this hull design and CORNADO was specifically constructed to a very high specification and to German Lloyds requirements for an experienced yachtsman. During early 2000 she underwent a major overhaul and upgrading of her systems and equipment and has subsequently been meticulously maintained.
