Suzanne Lea is an exemplary representation of the matriach of the Grand Banks Classic fleet and has the refined grace of a lovely leading lady. She has been pampered when her days were not spent running the Gulf Coast, Eastern Seaboard and the Bahamas. The listing broker has been close friends with 2 owners, the present and previous, spanning the past 20 years' history and can attest to the attentive care she has received from having been professionally maintained as a result of both owners' genuine regard for her. Suzanne Lea is stabilized, has new teak decks '05, cabin house painted '06. She is powered by the twin venerable Detroit 471s that along with the "on the nose" repitched props easily boast 9 knots cruising speed.
Suzanne Lea has a three stateroom layout, so she will sleep six aboard, two in a center queen berth in master stateroom aft, two in athwartship singles in a guest stateroom forward and two in the VIP's v-berth.

Double windows open to maximize the ventilation. To port is the guest head with a sliding door, separate shower stall and Raritan head. The 4-stepped companionway takes guests up and aft into the galley, helm station and saloon. It also hinges up to gain access to the engine room.
The large and remarkfully comfortable master stateroom's access is aft from the saloon down 4 steps (2 hinged for stowage). The slightly offset to starboard centerline queen berth has 4 drawers below inlcuding a large chart drawer and a double brass directional reading light mounted above the middle. Starboard side the berth is a 3-drawer night stand. Extending from the night stand to the head are numerous starboardside built-in stowage lockers with shelf space above.
Outboard the queen berth on the portside is a wide dresser/night stand with 4 drawers with a compartment above that stows a hide-away step ladder that connects with the companionway to the aft deck. The unique ladder feature enhances the livable floor spaceFurther outboard and athwartship is the lift-up mirrored vanity table with seat. Fore and aft to port is a low storage locker with a book shelf above and a 9-drawer dresser. In the forward section of the master stateroom to port is the large hanging locker cubbyholed behind a louvered door.

The large side windows in the stateroom, head can be opened so that combined with the aft companionway will provide good ventilation and brightness as well as a spacious feeling to the owner's cabin. On the other hand, fabric curtains and louvered blinds can give the stateroom plenty of privacy.
The engine room access is either descending a ladder via the saloon's sole or by lifting the hinged companionway leading to the forward staterooms. It boasts full standing headroom, a separate insulated compartment for the generator and is thoughtfully laid out for ease of moving about for inspection as well as maintenace. Stowage capacity in the engine room is abounding. Once entering from the forward stateroom, you first step into a separate space or work area with a utilitarian layout with plenty of stowage lockers and space for tools and spares.
The large flybridge is completely covered by a full length navy Bimini. It is also protected by wet, foul weather witht the 3-sided curtains. There is comfortable seating for 8 in the front- and back-sided built-in seats. The upper helm station is well laid out and equipped, including a teak custom-built pop-up stowage locker for the radar and a classic teak-rimmed wheel.
