S/V "Scammin" is well equipped and has been well maintained and ready to go. She has been mainly in fresh water all her life and out of the water every winter untill she came to the Carribean, where she is sail at sea during the saeson and rest in fresh water during the hurricane. In 2011 she was sanded to bare glass and recoated with epoxy barrier coat before antifouling. Her keel was cut and rebuild shorter by the shipyard designer, giving her the advantage of sailing in shalower water. She would be sailing around Belize and Honduras this season before re-entering the river and being stored on the dry for the rest of the year. Her owner is retiring from sailing and all the gear and spares are staying onboard.
