The Baltic 42 DP has a beautiful and warm teak interior. The joinerywork is absolutely gorgeous. Fury has been extremely well kept and the interior is in great shape.
This is a very classic interior arrangement and for all the right reasons; it works well.
As you descend the companionway the first impression is the quality and warmth. There are port and starboard facing settees with light leather upholstery. The centerline drop leaf table with bottle storage is made of teak. Above the settees are pilot berths for extra storage, these pilot berths are also great for grand kids or a crew member. Abundant storage behind the seat backs.
At the base of the companionway to port is the nav-station, it is just where you want it for quick and easy communication to the crew on deck.
The Galley is to starboard of the companionway.
The master stateroom is aft and features a centerline queen. Fresh air and light is provided by opening portlights. Plenty of storage. Good standing headroom due to the nice bridge deck above. The stateroom is large yet cozy with gorgeous woodwork.
The aft head can be accessed from the stateroom or a door near the nav-station.
Forward of the bulkhead is the private guest suite. The forward cabin is good sized and has abundant storage. The area under the berth is a large sail locker. On starboard is a generously sized head. There is a double hanging locker opposite.
Fury has plenty of opening deck hatches flooding her with light and fresh air.
The linear galley is at the base of the companionway ladder. Perfectly placed in the boat to easily hand up refreshments, hand down groceries, and allowing best ventillation when cooking.
The double stainless steel sinks are closest to centerline for use in a seaway.
The Force Ten stainless 3-burner stove wtih oven & broiler features push-button piezo ignition for safe & fast lighting of the propane. It is mounted outboard and is gimbaled.
Separate refer and freezer compartments are large, chilled by Grunert stainless steel eutectic holding plates, and driven by a large Sea Freeze compressor. Each features an easily read thermometer. The compressor was replaced a few years ago, the system works great!

The Baltic 42 has a very well thought out deck and works well for evening sails with family or offshore races.
Featuring the dual cockpit that is seen on many Finish built boats, the ergonomics are well thought out. The aft cockpit features the large steering wheel and binnacle with easy access to the double ended mainsheet controls. The large secondary winches are within the helmsmans easy reach for easy daysails.
The forward cockpit with dodger protecting the companionway, houses the large Primary winches for racing.
Fury was repowered with a new Yanmar 4JH-3E 56hp diesel engine in 2005. The installation was completed by Philbrooks Boatyard and is very tidy.
