Sara Jane is one of Murray Peterson’s “Coaster” designs built in California in 1981. She delivers every ounce of the romance and grace promised by the idea of a classically rigged schooner. She sails beautifully under just her lowers – or go all-out and hoist the topsail and fisherman. The clipper bow, pleasant sheer, bulwarks, monkey rail and attractive transom give the vessel a traditional appearance. She is comfortably at home on the New England Coast – or in any ocean of the world.
Sara Jane has had the benefit of a good hull and deck maintenance schedule over the years. Updated in 2005, 2008 and 2015/2016 she is is top condition. A summary of the 2008 and 2015/2016 updates are below.
Located in Rockport, in the water and ready to go.
