The Mariner 38 Pilothouse is a Peter Canning design that was based on the very successful Mariner 38 Cutter and the earlier Mariner 36. The New England based Mariner Yacht Company built vessels for offshore cruising from 1977 until 1983. The Mariner 38 Pilothouse afforded the cruising sailor comfortable inside steering with generous visibility. The ketch/cutter configuration is extremely well balanced and makes heavy weather sailing safe and reasoable.
Dismas is a one-owner vessel that has provided miles of enjoyment. The engine has over 4000 hours but has been well maintained with annual routine maintenance.
