The Doughdish is a fiberglass reproduction of the original Herreshoff 12 1/2 footer. It is constructed in foam sandwich fiberglass with teak trim. It is built to the exact hull dimensions and rig of the sloops designed by N. G. Herreshoff in 1914. As a result they are able to compete against the wooden boats in class races and regattas. It is a comfortable and easy daysailer, and a wonderful boat for teaching someone to sail.
This 1981 Doughdish is in good condition. The yearly maintenance for her has been done and she is ready to use now. The sails are original and may be usable for another season or two but would not be appropriate for competitive racing. There are cracks in the coamings that would benefit from being pinned at some point. This boat does come with a trailer that is also from the 80s.
NANCY HOVE II is currently in indoor storage up in Ithaca New York and available for viewing with arrangements. PRICE REDUCED to sell this spring Please call or email with any questions or to visit. | ||
