Eendracht has been owned by people committed to simplicity. She has minimal complications in terms of electricity but is well equipped with items that make cruising comfortable and safe, such as: Garmin Chartplotter, Raymarine RL-72 Radar, Icom M-700 SSB, VHF with AIS, Maxprop feathering prop, Maxwell electric windlass, Anchor washdown 44lb Bruce anchor with lots of chain and rode, Aries Self-Steering, preventer loads of spare sails.... and more.
With fully battened main, reefing at the mast and staysail boom, she is traditionally rigged and will appeal to the traditionalists looking for Cape Dory strength, good looks, good lines as well as the coveted CD sailing prowess. Eendracht has been sailed largely on the Chesapeake Bay for the last 15 years, but previously did numerous trips down to the Caribbean and across the Atlantic to Europe under previous ownership.
She has been professionally maintained throughout her life and recent maintenance includes refinishing of the brightwork in November 2013. The boat was re-powered in 2001 and had a new set of sails in the same year in addition to which there are 2 spare mainsails and Yankees and 1 spare staysail.
