LOW KEY is located on the hard at Mason's Island Mystic, Connecticut. The Bristol 41.1 remains a well appreciated and regarded Ted Hood design. Quality built with master craftsmanship to a thoroughly high standard. Hood stow mast, Hood genoa furling, Quantum sails (main new 2011). Well equipped: Autohelm instruments, Autohelm ST 7000 autopilot, Raytheon radar and GPS chartplotter.
The Westerbeke diesel needs to be replaced (cracked block) therefore the low asking price. A rebuilt or new Yanmar 4JH57 or Beta engine would be a perfect fix and fit.
A classic center cockpit racer-cruiser with shoal draught and an intelligent cruising layout with two staterooms. New (2005) Sunbrella Bimini and dodger.

Accommodations and layout.
The Bristol 41.1 can accommodate six crew in fore and aft staterooms and utilizing two settee berths in the main saloon. Absolutely perfect for two cruising couples. Low Key's interior is finished in teak. The forward stateroom has a large V-berth (7 feet long) with insert, there is plenty of stowage above and below berth. Opening Bowmar hatch for ambient light and ventilation. Private door to head/shower with vanity and cabinets to port. Small dresser (stowage below), hanging locker to starboard. In the main saloon the centerline drop leaf table can seat 6. There is an L-shaped settee to port and two bench seats to starboard with table that can be converted into a long settee/berth. Cabinets (with louvered and glass doors) and shelving outboard. The galley is located to port in a walkthrough configuration. The well laid out navigation station (with bench) is abaft the portside settee. 6'8" headroom in main saloon. Passing through the galley to the after master stateroom with king size berth, two hanging lockers, full sized dresser, drawers and locker stowage. Access to private head and shower. Full sized galley equipped with double stainless steel sink, hot and cold pressured water, a Force Ten three burner gimbaled propane stove and oven, more than ample Formica counter space, stowage for provisions outboard, louvered sliding pantry doors, Alder Barbour 12 volt refrigeration, over sized ice box.
Deck, construction and sundry equipment
Shallow draught (4'6") with centerboard (10'0" board down). Centerboard needs new pennant system engineered. The Bristol 41.1 is substantially built: The solid fiberglass hull is hand lay-up with alternate layers of mat and woven roving. The deck is hand laid mat and cloth with balsa core. There are three stainless steel water tanks (Two under main cabin sole, one forward beneath V berth). One 6 gallon hot water tank under nav station bench. One holding tank with Y-valve. The hull is modified fin keel with rudder skeg mounted. The topsides are navy blue awlgrip. All deck hardware is stainless steel.
