QUEST is a robustly-built blue-water Rosborough Windjammer Schooner designed & built by the well-known Halifax, Nova Scotia, builder James Douglas Rosborough. Characteristically of the Rosboroughs, she is an unusually salty-looking & traditional vessel featuring heavy construction, seawothiness, lots of room & comfort. Built of White Oak & Bronze fastened, QUEST would be an outstanding vessel for extended cruising, she would fit right in anywhere from the Caribbean to the Pacific Northwest & turn heads wherever she goes. Condition appears to be quite good & she is powered by a Detroit Diesel 3-53 which produces an strong 98 Horse Power & is reported to have less than 200 hours on it since rebuild. She features a Gaff Rigged foremast & Marconi Main with double headsails. Ballast is Lead, LOD is 49' with a Sparred length of 57' & Beam is a comfortable 13' 6" & she sports a good-sized bowspit. Built to go to sea & stay there in the rugged conditions of the North Atlantic, her draft is an impressive eight feet. Her sail inventory includes 3 jibs, Marconi Main, Gaff fore & maxi-fisher gollywobbler. She's reported to motor at 9.5 Kts & carries 500 Gallons of fuel in two 250 gal. steel tanks as well as 500 Gallons of water in two 250 gal fiberglass tanks. QUEST features a large full galley with refrigeration, stove & oven & good working surfaces, large comfortable salon, navigation station, opening butterfly skylights, good ventilation & light down below, large opening ports, large aft stateroom, center cockpit, wheel steering two enclosed marine heads, shower, tub, hot & cold water, lots of headroom & elbow room plus large forward stateroom/ fo'c'sle, sleeps at least 8 in designated bunks (some single, some double) & provides good privacy with two completely separate staterooms.
