She is a 1980 46 foot, center cockpit, ketch rigged, fiberglass yacht. She was built by Morgan Yacht Inc., Largo, Florida, and designed by Charles Morgan and Ted Brewer. The boat is currently in San Diego, California, fully refurbished and ready to go blue-water cruising.
New work in the summer of 2015 includes removal of gelcoat below the waterline, ground out blisters, 5 months of dry out before resealing with epoxy barrier coat and new bottom paint on about 11/15. Installed a line preventer between the aft end of the keel and the skeg to prevent long lines and traps from fouling the prop. New Battery and charging monitor installed. All work was done by professionals including all instrumentation, radar, auto pilot, etc..

Bimini runs aft from dodger to the boom gallows, also 2” SS with teak crosspiece.
The cockpit is fully enclosed Sunbrella with windows, and screen aft of dodger. Everything zips off. This was all new in 2013, installed by Cover Craft, the premier canvas company in the SF bay area. Includes all patterns for future replacements.

All new Ray Marine 7 inch MFD with depth, fishfinder, charts, split screen, and radar. Radar overlays charts if desired. The entire unit is mounted on an adjustable arm, to port. The unit links to an iPad, iPhone, or Samsung tablet so all information is available and controllable from anywhere on the boat.
The Auto pilot controls are on the binnacle as is the anemometer. The auto pilot also has a remote control unit so you can steer from anywhere on the boat, including below. It will steer to a compass heading, a route, or to the wind when sailing. It is hydraulic, with the pump under the aft cabin bed.
New Standard Horizon VHF with AIS which displays on the MFD charts and radar. The main unit is below in the nav station, with new, wired remote mike at the wheel.
Icom SSB/Ham Radio
CD player linked to computer or phone with Bose speakers in Salon, aft cabin, and cockpit.

The entire hull throughout the boat is insulated with 1 ½ inches of closed cell refrigeration foam covered with teak, and tongue and groove cedar.
Forward is the main chain locker for the 105 lb. CQR, access doors above V-berth.
Chain locker for the 65 lb. CQR is below the V-berth with stainless tube led from the windlass.
V-berth cushions are new with new sage colored upholstery
Overhead shelves and 1 hanging locker complete the guest cabin.

Moving aft to starboard is the forward head with sink and toilet.
To port is a large hanging locker that we converted to a pantry with roll-out SS drawers. It is cedar lined with automatic lighting.
All lockers and cabinets have built in lights that come on when the door is opened, including the engine room.
Next is the salon to starboard with table that will seat 8, with new foam cushions and sage upholstery, and fuel tank under sole.
To port is a settee with storage under and behind, new upholstery, and a fold up lee board to convert to a sea berth, with bookshelves above.
Aft of the settee is the nav station with new split hinged desktop for easy access to storage inside, even with a mounted laptop. Above the desk is an articulated printer mount, and cabinets for electronic equipment. The newly upholstered seat is hinged with storage under, and additional storage behind and under foot, as well as the electrical panel. The hull is insulated and covered with varnished teak.
To Starboard is the large galley with teak cabinets, marble countertops hinged with gas lifters for access to storage under, and a custom SS spice rack, and a wooden knife holder with hidden magnets. Double deep sinks with a new tall SS faucet with detachable sprayer for filling deep pots.
Below sink are two water filters, fiber and charcoal.

Next to the companionway is the AC/DC Vitrifrigo drawer freezer, and drawer refrigerator.
The companionway ladder is new, custom made teak, hinged at the base for access to storage behind.
Both water tanks are under the galley and nav station. Both have deck fills and the mid-ship tank is connected to the water-maker.
The hall aft to the engine room and shop is 1 step down with ample padded headroom.
To starboard is the engine room and wet locker. Shore power control, battery monitors, and water-maker controls are above the doors.
To port is the shop area with SS table cover, large vise, and cabinets for hundreds of screws and small parts. Below is another Vitrifrigo drawer refrigerator, 4 gel cells, and more storage. Controls for the wind turbine are here as well.
Aft is another hanging locker with large storage bins outboard, and controller for the solar panels.
Furthest aft is the very large owners cabin with mattress beam to beam. Extensive remodeling has been done to this cabin as well, with many cabinets on both sides and under. All are insulated, with automatic lighting and covered with varnished teak, and alabaster and soapstone inlays.
Adjoining the cabin is the master head with sink, bathtub, shower, toilet, Bosche propane on-demand water heater, and the new Spectra 200T water-maker (automatic-flushing), with components under the water heater, sink, and hanging locker in the cabin.
