MARIAH is a comfortable, thoughtfully laid-out long range motoryacht providing all the comforts of home (and then some) whether long range cruising or local “gunkholing”. The vessel is professionally crewed and maintained. The custom Koa wood interior and décor throughout is pristine. The vessel and equipment are in excellent condition and ready for short or long range service. In comparison with other vessels of this class it is considered to be at the top end as to appearance and general condition. MARIAH was last drydocked during the period 4 May 1997 through 4 October 1997 at Shelter Island Boat Yard in San Diego, CA at which time the hull was lengthened fifteen feet by the addition of a cockpit and integral swim platform aft. In conjunction with the cockpit addition, longer shafts were installed new, rudders were repositioned, area of rudder blades were increased in size by 50% and rudder shaft diameter was increased. The underwater body area and appurtenances were placed in good condition, stabilizer fins were relocated, sonar and bow thruster systems were installed. The bottom was hydrowashed, sea screens were dropped, cleaned and replaced, bottom was painted, zincs were renewed. Other improvements during the yard period included installation of a third generator set, laundry with new washer and dryer, battery system changed to all 12V 8D batteries for wheel house and generators were relocated to the lazzarette. The addition of the cockpit enhances the vessel as to serviceability, appearance and value. The design, workmanship and materials are of high quality. The addition was accomplished in such a manner as to appear that the vessel was originally constructed with the cockpit. In 2004 & 2007, extensive interior & exterior work were completed at Newport Harbor Shipyard. | ||
