This is a fine, well-constructed and maintained example of the coveted Buzzard's Bay 14 design of Herreshoff. The 14 was a scaled up version of the H 12 1/2 and was concieved by L. Francis Herreshoff in 1940. This offering was built in 1980 in Maine at the boat school in Eastport. She is mahogany planked on oak frames with bronze fastenings. By all accounts she is one sweet sailing little boat. Her present owner has maintained her beautifully. The Cetol finish on the brightwork is perfect and her decks are covered with Dynel which was professionally redone recently. This would be an ideal boat for day sails around the bay or lake. A timeless design yet of recent enough construction to require only routine maintenance. She comes with a 3 HP Yamaha and a trailer. If you take the time to come see her you will not be disappointed.
