GRP hull and deck moulding. Hull finished in white above waterline with burgundy sheer band and black antifouling below waterline. Fin keel of iron construction, skeg hung rudder. Deck also finished in white with grey treadmaster non-slip panels, tinted perspex windows.
Spars & Rigging
Fitted with original masthead sloop rig. All spars of anodised alloy, manufactured by Proctor Masts. Standing rigging of stainless steel, replaced 2002; forestay fitted with Harken roller reefing system. The Main and Genoa halyards have been run aft to the cockpit along with the kicker, topping lift and mainsail outhaul. Running rigging has been maintained and upgraded throughout the current ownership. Lazyjacks have been fitted to assist with dropping and stowing of the mainsail, lazyjacks are controlled from the cockpit also with only the reefing lines requiring management at the mast.
Below decks the boat is well appointed with all joinery work being of stout timber construction, teak faced plywood with solid teak timber trims and fittings.
Forepeak provides 2 single berths in traditional V-berth configuration with an infill section creating a compact double. Storage is provided below the bunks.
Head situated immediately aft of forepeak to port. Compartment fitted out with all surfaces finished in formica with small sink, sea toilet and vanity locker. A generous hanging locker is sighted to starboard.
Saloon is laid out with L-shaped settee to port running the full length of the saloon, the small fiddled table dropping down to create second small double bunk. Storage is provided beneath the settee and in overhead lockers.
The galley runs along the starboard side of the saloon with a small work surface, stainless steel sink and recently (2010) fitted Plastimo gas cooker, 2 burner, grill and oven, Storage is provided below and outboard of the galley working surface.
A dedicated navigation area occupies the area immediately aft of the galley with a small chart table and all ships instrumentation provided within easy reach of the seated navigator. A well sized quarter berth runs aft.
On deck the boat benefits from having been well looked after and re-furbished in recent years. The deck is constructed of a white GRP moulding with non-slip grey Treadmaster panels having been replaced during 2011. The cockpit seating is finished with teak slats. The mainsheet track runs across the centre of the cockpit footwell on an adjustable track. The self tailing primary winches are located at the forward end of the cockpit with all halyards being lead aft to Lewmar clutches either side of the companionway. Two large lockers beneath the port cockpit seat provide storage for deck gear. The liferaft is mounted of a storage cradle over the transom.
