The Cape Dory 30, designed by Carl Alberg, is a beautiful little girl.
If you have dreamed of sailing one of the classics, Paragon may be for you. She takes you to a time when sailboats were lovely and were meant to sail......not necessarily be a hotel room on the water.
Her interior is warm and welcoming with teak joinerwork throughout and she has served her current owners for fourteen years. Before that, she had only one owner.
This is an affordable way to learn your way around a sailboat.
Her owners are selling because of the desire to spend more time with the grandchildren.

Starting forward is the enclosed anchor locker with louvered door opening into the forward v-berth. The overhead opening hatch and drop-in cushion insert creates a serviceable and well-ventilated double berth with bi-fold privacy door opening into the head.
The head has a manual pump with Y-valve to port with hanging locker behind. To starboard is a built-in vanity with sink and drawers and storage cabinets under.
Moving Aft is the Main Salon. To port is a well-conceived drop-down folding teak table, that folds neatly and effortlessly away against the forward bulkhead when not in use. The port settee slides out to create a very spacious double berth. To starboard is a single settee. Both settees have storage behind and above.
The galley flanks the companionway with a well-placed stainless steel sink, a double burner Hillerange alcohol stove with oven to port, and a well-insulated ice-box to starboard. Stowage is well thought-out and attractive with teak sliding doors and drawers surrounding the galley area.
The feel of the cabin is warm and traditional with good quality teak bulkheads and joinerwork throughout. There is a teak and holly sole. There are eight opening bronze ports with removable screens and curtains as well as overhead opening hatches for light and ventilation
