This 37 foot Tayana cutter rigged sloop was constructed in 1979 and is located in Wellfleet, Massachusetts.

The Tayana 37 is one of Robert Perry's most successful designs, with close to 600 boats completed to date. The Tayana 37, with its double-ended stern, trunk cabin and cutaway full keel, has proven to be an outstanding off-shore passage-maker. To its legions of owners and admirers alike, the Tayana 37 has achieved a cult status, and is considered by many to be a modern sailing classic. The popularity of this recognized blue water veteran, make the 37 Tayana an exciting choice for those with limited budgets, but with unlimited cruising plans.

Solid GRP hull, internally ballasted with full keel and fully balanced skeg hung rudder. The deck is cored FRP with the exception of areas of high load and stress, where the deck is solid fiberglass and backing plates have been utilized.

This 37 is a one owner, USCG Documented vessel with a limited Coastwise Restricted MARAD waiver for commercial use in US waters.  Lovingly maintained she is simply equipped, and a fine example of this proven blue water cruiser.  Her accommodation plan is the “trunk cabin cutter” version.  She is a simple cruising boat well suited for ocean voyaging.  Her owner went out of her way to keep the boat’s systems as basic as possible for self-sufficiency, and is well furnished with numerous spares.
