Southern Promise is a superbly built classic Trawler Yacht of which over 90 vessels have been built in the Ocean Alexander boatyard in Taiwan. She is UK registered, safety coded and has a Portuguese tourist licence for charter for up to 12 guests. Most of the yachts are still operating on the American Pacific coast where they are accepted as one of the best for heavy seas and long passages. Southern Promise has undergone major improvements in the last few years including new decks, new galley, heads, cabins and saloon. Professional fitted-out hull extension like a lot of other sister ships. Her enormous deck space, more than most 80 footers, and spacious cabins make her an ideal live-aboard, passage maker or charter vessel. She is re-engined in 1996 with two new Volvo Penta 316 hp.
