Morgan North American 40

The NORTH AMERICAN 40 is an Offshore IOR/One Design racer/cruiser designed by Dick Carter and built to IOR specifications by Morgan in Largo, FL. This boat is one of 45, commissioned by a sailing group for Offshore One Design racing hailing from the Great Lakes region. These boats are still active on the race scene in the Great Lakes Region with a PHRF of 96. The high coamings of the nine-foot cockpit provide an excellent crew space, the decks are remarkably well designed for moving fore and aft, her Airex cored hull makes her lighter and rigid, her aggressive keel and tall rig make her an exceptional performer.
