F&C 44

F&C 44 designed by German Frers Jnr and built by Alberto Cibil/F&C Argentina in 1979.

In the 80s this vessel raced very successfully out of New Orleans and later cruised extensively in the Caribbean for 12 years. She crossed the Atlantic to Spain early 2005.

Owner keen to sell and has recently reduced the price to Euros 58,000 and will consider near offers. This F&C 44 is indeed a beautiful design. If there is a problem, it is that the boat is in need of serious renovation that is why the asking price is low. If you wish to view she is lying ashore in Alicante.

Hull, deck and superstructure of GRP. Teak laid decks on fibreglass. Lead long keel and centreboard. Wheel steering - stainless steel wire to quadrant. Single Perkins 4108 diesel auxiliary engine develops 50 horsepower (re-conditioned 2008). Engine hours: 3000. Hydraulic transmission. 12VDC/24VDC/220VAC electrical systems. 5 x batteries – 4 x 6v; 1 x 12v. Inverter, 12v. Shore power. Stainless steel fuel tank holds: 43 gallons.

Ketch rig. Fully-battened Mainsail and Mizzen. Roller furling Headsail. Lazy jacks. Spinnaker pole. 13 sails in all including: Mainsail, Mizzen, Working Jib, Storm jib, Staysail, 2 x Spinnakers, 3 x Genoas – 100%, 130%, 170%. 15 x winches by Barient.

Sleeps 6. Galley includes 4-burner gas hob, oven, refrigerator, freezer and sink. Central heating. Sockets: 12v, 24v, 220v. Stainless steel water tank holds: 176 gallons. Water heater.
