MV Pompier is a 1978 John Simpson designed custom 65’ pilothouse motor yacht of composite
fiberglass reinforced plastic construction using Airex PVC foam coring. The hull is a hard chine,
long keel displacement form with stability chine fins extending approximately 8” beyond sheer line.
The vessel was extended from its original 55’ with chine stabilizers added later.
Below decks forward consists of a Vee berth stateroom with ensuite head. The pilothouse and galley follow and the amid ship main salon is open plan. There is an aft stateroom with ensuite. The main engine is beneath the pilothouse and the gen set is beneath the salon. Access to the flying bridge is via a stairwell located amidships. The interior is finished in modern materials and satin varnished Honduran mahogany.
This vessel would be an outstanding live aboard or charter yacht with its huge Command Bridge
and upper deck.
The vessel had a major refit in April 2011 totaling $195,000 and Including the following:
