When she was introduced in 1978, the 44 Motor Cruiser marked Gulfstar's initial entry into the motor yacht-style market. The 44 remains a good looking yacht today with her stylish radar arch, raised afterdeck and modern hardtop. Built on a full displacement hull with a protective keel and flat aft sections, the Gulfstar 44 provides an efficient and comfortable ride.

Inside the floorplan is arranged in the conventional manner with the galley down and a notably spacious master stateroom. The salon has a lower helm and deck access door to starboard. A ladder leads down into the 44's stand-up engine room and a pump room forward separates the generator and air conditioning units from the motors.

At her hull speed of 8.5 knots, she'll burn on 6 gph. With 625 gallons of fuel in one tank, the 44 has an average cruising range of approximately 1000 miles.
