This is a 215’ Dive Salvage Support Vessel built at Halter Marine in 1978. It was originally built as an offshore supply vessel for oil rig work in the Gulf of Mexico. It has since been modified with special equipment to make it an effective and capable Dive Salvage Support Vessel. Bridge Deck: This has the fully equipped wheel house. 360 degree visibility is excellent. There are wide side walk way decks all around the wheel house superstructure. There is a stairway from the center of the wheel house that goes down to the hallway of the Forecastle Deck.
Forecastle Deck: Aft there is a lounge that stretches across the width of the forecastle superstructure. There is a central hallway with stairways up and down to port and a head with shower forward. To port is a 2 man crew cabin currently being used as the Captain’s cabin with an en suite head and shower. There is a 2 man crew cabin aft of this and forward of the lounge. Opposite this across the hall are two more 2 man crew cabin. At the forward end of the hallway is a head with a toilet and a shower. There are wide walkways around the forecastle superstructure.
Main Deck: The staircase from the Forecastle Deck lands on centerline of the middle of the Main Deck accommodations area in a center walkway area. To starboard is the fully equipped Galley which was fully redone in 2009. Forward of the galley is the Mess area. Forward of the mess area is a 4 man crew cabin. Opposite this cabin is a storage room that was converted from a crew cabin. An additional 4 berths could be added back in this cabin. Directly aft is a 1 man cabin currently being used by the Chief Engineer as his office/cabin. Aft of this is a head with 2 toilets and 2 showers. Aft of the head is another 4 man crew cabin. Adjacent to this off the main area is a pantry. Opposite the pantry is a large walk in refrigerator with access to a walk in freezer outboard. There is a doorway to the main working deck from the aft part of the Main Deck accommodations area.
Hold Deck: The Hold deck has a stair way leading down from the Main Deck hallway. The hold deck has a series of tanks and cargo holds with a long center hallway leading aft to the engine and machinery room. The engine and machinery room can also be accessed from 2 stairways outboard on the main deck. Aft of the engine room are some ballast tanks that were converted to water tanks and aft of this is the steering compartment.
