Can$ 14,900 (US$ 14,024)
The COLUMBIA 8.7 was built by Columbia from 1976-1978. Alan Payne (America's Cup boat designer) designed her with the characteristic "wine glass" transom and the beam carried aft. The Columbia’s hull is solid, hand laid glass, and the deck is a balsa sandwich construction. The interior is all teak, comprising of some solid components and marine ply, (only the deck head is a fibreglass liner).
Columbia has a knack for interior innovation and effective use of space. This 29' footer offers over 6 foot of head room, a fold down table, a quarter berth/Nav station drop down leaflet, a full set of draws and a hanging locker, a stove cover that converts to counter space, and cabin berths that fold to reveal actual full twin berths! These unique design elements give the feel of a much larger vessel.
This vessel was repowered in 2002 with a Yanmar 3GM and has only 200 hrs on the desiel engine. This classic cruiser has lots of room, wheel steering, a chartplotter, 5 sails, and much more making it a great first boat for a family or a weekender for anyone who loves to get out and sail!
