Designed by Sparkman & Stephens for Nautor as one of Nautor’s earliest purpose designed and built cruising yachts, the Nautor 43, “Bucephalus” is hull # 7 of the 24 that were built between the years 1976 and 1979. Standard rig for this center cockpit cruiser was a ketch rig, however, the owner specified a sloop rig which increased both the mast height and boom length to increase the mainsail area to 405 sq ft. “Bucephalus” is a very comfortable two cabin, two head cruising yacht with enormous interior volume for living and storage. This one-owner yacht was built to the owner’s specifications and has been maintained it to a Bristol standard throughout his 31 years of ownership. He has enhanced many of its original components and continually made upgrades in equipment using current technology, replacing items like deck prisms, rebuilding and rechroming the Baby Blake heads, replacing hatches, regalvanizing the anchor the HT anchor chain, etc. All interior joinery is in exceptional condition. It is very evident upon seeing the yacht how much the owner has cared for it. The boat is immaculate and must be seen to be appreciated.
