They are solidly built boats with a functional layout that in many ways were ahead of their time. Take the raised cabin top for example: in the late 1970’s this design element was a rarity. Now it’s been “discovered” and has become more common ever since.
In addition, note the private stateroom aft with a queen size berth set athwartship with transom deadlights and separate access to the cockpit; also lovely teak joinery and the very large saloon windows that let in a tremendous amount of light.
This is one of the best all-around cruising designs to be found for under $100k.
Huge “V”-berth forward with ample storage, private head and 6’6” headroom. Up two steps aft to saloon with very large windows, U-shaped settee with dinette starboard, in-line galley to port alon with stand-up companionway to master stateroom aft. Master fueature an athworthsip queen berth with transom portlights, companion way up to the cockpit starboard, built in vanity with sind and private head.
Interoior completely updated from the teak & holly sole, to the headliner. This is by far the nicest Freeport we have ever seen. Note the Freeport 41s have more space and light below than any similar sized sailboat, with 6’9” headroom in the main saloon and 6’ plus throughout most of the boat.
