EXTENSIVELY REFURBISHED.   The current owner has spared nothing in the refurbishing of this 1977 Irwin 56 (same design as the 52 but with a stretched cockpit). Almost everything on this yacht has been replaced or refurbished.  A bowsprit was added bring the overall length of the vessel to 61 feet.  Wayward Wind, launched in the Spring of 2016 with a new Yanmar 110 hp engine, BETA Marine generator, a diesel fueled auxiliary cutter rigged ketch with a traditional keel and spade rudder.

Wayward Wind was surveyed and the following is a quote from the survey"

"Value: ... In the Surveyor's opinion, the subject yacht considering its extensive restoration has a current fair market value of the $500,000 to $650,000 plus or minus 5 percent, and the latter if complexly restored, located in a desirable market attracting the right client.  Its replacement cost is estimated at approximately $1,500,00 (one million, five hundred thousand dollars).  At the date of this survey, in excess of $1,000,000 has been invested in the updating and restoration of this ketch."
