Ted Hood Designed Gulfstar 40 Custom
Designed by Ted Hood and built by Gulfstar Yachts in 1977, "Weetamo" is a true sailor's boat. She points well, sails strong in a good blow, and will move nicely in low wind conditions. Her lovely lines and features have been well-maintained by her current owners.
The Gulfstar Custom 40 is built with pride and precision. The teak interior is rich and fills the boat with aesthetic beauty. The 6'4" headroom below allows easy flow below decks. She sleeps up to six with a V-berth, a convertible dinette to port, an extension berth settee and pilot berth to starboard.
The head is forward with a double entry, shower, and ample sink and counter-space
The boat has heat and many opening ports and hatches which allow good ventilation.
The galley has a two burner propane stove / oven, a deep double stainless steel sink, top opening ice box with refrigeration and excellent storage space behind sliding cabinet doors and drawers.
The salon is spacious and can accommodate a large group. The cushions around the settee are covered in ultra-suede and are in excellent condition.
The Nav Station has a large hinged desktop for chart storage underneath and drawers and a built-in cabinet located in the base.
