Coming down the companionway from the cockpit, there is a large quarter berth to port. To starboard is the enclosed head which has a long vanity with sink, mirrored storage behind and a locker below. The shower curtain on an overhead track keeps the water draining down to the teak grated sump pump with automatic pump. At the aft end in the electric Vacuflush commode. The walls and counter top are white Formica. The rest of the walls of the interior are bright finished white oak in a tongue and groove pattern. The cabin sole is teak and holly and the overhead is white for a warm nautical look. At the forward end of the quarter berth is the navigation station which has a bench seat, book shelves above and a bank of radios and navigation instruments. There is also a hanging locker for wet weather gear The mid-cabin has large double berths to port and starboard with cushioned backrests and shelves above and chart storage overhead. Forward of this is the full galley is to port with four burner propane stove with oven, refrigerator with top and side loading doors, large sink and storage lockers behind sliding doors behind. On the other side of the lifting keel trunk is a U shaped settee with table. On the froward bulkhead of the galley and settee are open racks for glasses, mugs and spices. The forward area has hanging lockers and drawer storage on either side and a large double berth.
Spars and Rigging
Deck stepped aluminum mast, aluminum boom. Carbon fiber spinnaker pole. Rod rigging (2010). Harken roller furler. Navtec hydraulic vang, 5 aluminum Barient winches on cabin top at mast. Self tailing aluminum Barient main sheet winch in cockpit. Two large self tailing winches on cockpit comings and and Barient coffee grinder winch on aft deck.
Sails are Doyle; Main sail (2005), furling genoa (2005), blade (high wind jib), asymmetrical, spinnaker, storm jib and trysail
The large cockpit has deep bench seats with sloped backrest extending in a U around the aft end to make it a comfortable and secure area at sea and an inviting area for relaxing when cruising or at anchor. On the aft deck are storage lazarettes and a coffee grinder winch. The wheel is at the forward end of the cockpit with the sailing and navigation instruments handy to the helmsman on either side of the companionway at the aft end of the cabin house. There is a large midship hatch on top of the cabin trunk for sail handling that also lets air and light below . There is also another large sail handling hatch forward as well as two custom Derecktor ventilators. The foredeck is clear and unobstructed and perfect for racing or lounging.
Welded aluminum hull and deck constructed to the highest standards by her designer/builder who was also her first owner. Topsides faired and painted with Awlgrip Claret red. Integral toe rail in foredeck area smaller lip aft to cockpit. Deck painted white Awlgrip with nonskid finish on horizontal surfaces. Deck step for the mast is reinforced by aluminum trunk for lifting keel which is welded top and bottom and reinforces this area in tension as well as compression. Lifting keel is an aluminum weldment with a lead bulb.
