The Varne 27 has been described as beautifully balanced, close-winded and with a motion that could rock you to sleep – clearly designed for the kind of weather most people try to avoid. Easily handled and with sufficiently shoal draft to make coastal exploring so much fun, these are truly capable little offshore cruisers with broad horizons.
One of the classic cruiser / racers of the 70’s the Varne 27 has excellent windward performance and a superb ability to take heavy seas in relative comfort. They are also very pretty vessels with a fine entry and narrow ends.
“Cherokee” has her original gel coat on the hull and is in good shape for her age.
A sound vessel and worth viewing. A recent survey is available for viewing.
