The Pearson 10M is very well known as a stiff, good performing racer / cruiser designed by Bill Shaw. This design was one of his favorites, and this model was built before lighter lay up schedules were the new norm. Performance fin keel design, and full skeg forward of the rudder for strength and directional stability. Keel stepped mast.
"Windy III" has been in the same family for over 30 years, and is now sailed by the second generation. She has been given great care over the years, and she has received upgrades such as a new Universal diesel in the early 90's, radar, chartplotter, sails and sail handling equipment.

The interior of the Pearson 10M is very spacious, and offers great cruising comfort.
Starting at the companionway, the galley is to starboard, and features a 2 burner CNG gas range, a large sink served by hot and cold pressure water, and a generous sized ice box. There are cupboards for dishes and stores, and good ventilation near the hatchway.
To port is a quarterberth, and a chart table forward in which the berth is used as the navigator's seat. The top of the nav table opens for a generous storage area for charts and gear.
Next forward is the main cabin, which has settee berths port and starboard. The port berth extends inboard to form a double berth. There is storage outboard and above each berth. A large dining table folds down from the port bulkhead. Outboard of the starboard settee is a comfortable pilot berth which is great for storage or for sleeping under way.
The head area is to port, forward of the main cabin. A vanity with a sink is forward in the area, and a marine toilet is set outboard. Included is a shower, using a telephone type nozzle.
To starboard are two hanging lockers, covered by a canvas curtain.
The forward cabin has v berths port and starboard with storage areas under and shelves above the berths.
All cushions are navy blue velour, and are in good condition. The cabin sole is a teak and holly vinyl that looks great. Most of the interior lighting has been upgraded to LED's in 2012.
