The French-built DuFour 27 is a solid and sturdy boat. The interior has a beautiful mahogany veneer woodwork with a fiberglass overhead, hull & floor liner for easy maintenance and superb construction. She sleeps 5 in a 2-cabin arrangement with a maximum headroom of 5’11” under a semi-flush deck. The hull has a port in the side. The interior cushions have new foam and fabric, but sewing incomplete. There is a table which folds down from the bulkhead. There are lots of doors for stowing things. The galley unit has a gimbaled stove top and front-loading ice box with shelves. There is a completely enclosed head area for privacy. She sleeps 4. Outside you ride in a very safe cockpit. The keel is deep and provides excellent stability and windward performance. She is a good coastal cruising vessel with some blue water attributes. The boat has been sailed on Lakes Superior and Michigan and has never seen salt.
Hello, my name is Bill Hooper. I have been in the sailboat business for over 30 years and started in the service repair end and moved into sales. So, I have a good understanding of systems and how to evaluate most everything dealing with the vessel. In addition I have been sailing and racing boats for all those years and so understand the needs of various sailing venues from inland dinghies to offshore salt water passage making and most anything in between. I have a great knowledge base involving most anything with sailing and can help you sort out the differences and what is important in a boat used for different purposes and in different sailing areas.
