Launched in 1974, "Orcella" was designed and built by reputable Dutch yacht builder Franz Maas. She is a highly functional, offshore pilothouse ketch, yet elegant with her sweeping lines and graceful curves. Her bottom is suprisingly modern with a modified keel and spade rudder. She is easily driven under sail by a versatile split rig or under power by twin Detroit diesels. "Orcella" can be steered from either the outside steering station with wrap around seating or from inside the pilothouse.
